Clarification Notice Regarding the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698

This Notice outlines the matters related to the collection, use, sharing with third parties, storage, and protection of personal data, in compliance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("Law") and the Regulation on Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation of Disclosure ("Regulation"). It also provides an explanation regarding the rights you have concerning the processing of your personal data.

As Tailpetz Pet Products Industry and Trade Limited Company, we attach great importance to ensuring and processing the personal data of all individuals related to our company, including our customers, suppliers, and employees, in compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, international treaties related to human rights, and primarily Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and other relevant legislation.

Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") was published in the Official Gazette No. 29677 on March 24, 2016. Some provisions of the law came into force on the publication date, and others came into force on October 7, 2016.

Data Controller

Tailpetz Pet Products Industry and Trade Limited Company, operating at Yakuplu Mahallesi 134. Sokak No:4/A Beylikdüzü/ISTANBUL, is the "data controller" under the Law in relation to the services provided.

As the Data Controller under the KVKK, we wish to inform you regarding the processing of your personal data.

Personal data shared with our company as a customer, supplier, or employee may be processed, stored, shared with third parties in Turkey or abroad, and used in accordance with the purposes of our activities and services, in compliance with the KVKK and relevant regulations.

Purpose of Personal Data Processing

Your personal data will be processed:

a) In a lawful and fair manner,
b) In connection with, and to the extent necessary for, the purposes of processing,
c) Accurately and kept up to date,
d) For specific, legitimate purposes.

As the Data Controller, we may process your personal data for purposes such as performing the requirements of our services, developing our products and services, conducting commercial activities, implementing business strategies, collaborating with third parties for information exchange, and fulfilling our legal obligations under applicable laws and regulations.

Some specific purposes of processing your data are:

Fulfilling contractual obligations, such as ensuring the delivery of purchased products and issuing invoices,
Addressing customer inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving disputes,
Managing memberships and keeping records of purchases, etc.

Your personal data may be processed based on legal grounds such as the necessity to fulfill a contract or a legal obligation, and it may also be shared with third parties when necessary, under lawful conditions.

Collection of Personal Data

Personal data is collected via various means, such as order forms, communications, websites, various contracts, mobile applications, emails, application forms, automated records, social networks, newsletters, and other channels used by our sales and marketing departments, branches, suppliers, and other sales channels.

Use of Personal Data

Personal data collected from the site is used for purposes such as product delivery, invoice preparation, and fulfilling requested transactions. We may also use your personal data to enhance the service we provide, make the site more user-friendly, or customize the site based on your preferences.

Sharing of Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared with various entities, including:

Rights of the Data Subject

According to Article 11 of the KVKK, you, as the data subject, have the following rights:

a) To learn whether your personal data is processed,
b) To request information regarding the processing of your personal data,
c) To know the purposes for which your personal data is processed and whether it is used appropriately,
d) To learn the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
e) To request corrections of inaccurate or incomplete personal data,
f) To request the deletion or destruction of personal data when it is no longer necessary,
g) To object to decisions based solely on automated processing of personal data,
h) To request compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

These rights can be exercised by submitting a written request or using any other method designated by the Personal Data Protection Authority. We will respond to your request within 30 days. However, the company reserves the right to charge a fee based on the fee schedule determined by the Personal Data Protection Authority.

Storage and Protection of Personal Data

Personal data will be stored in accordance with the provisions of the KVKK, in databases and systems. The data will be stored as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected and in compliance with legal obligations. When the purpose of processing the data ceases to exist, the personal data will be deleted, anonymized, or retained for the time required by law.

We take all necessary technical and administrative measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
